After closing a seed round of $1.75M back in 2015, ubi i/o 16’ participant Sevenhugs just announced a new round of $14.6M to continue creating connected devices and apps for people’s smart home. This newly acquired fund will allow them to open up an office in San Francisco and scale up in the U.S.
This newest round of funding was led by high-growth investment firm Xerys Gestion and supported by other existing investors. The team behind Sevenhugs is known for their capacity to not only build new & innovative products fast but also for their ability to ship out quickly.
This new round of funding will allow them to expand the launch of the hugOne, a sleep monitor that tracks sleep patterns to help families get better rest by capturing temperature, humidity and air quality. Besides, after receiving an award at the 2016 CES for their newest invention, Sevenhugs will accelerate the development of the Smart Remote, a universal control center for all connected home devices. With approximately 25 billion IoT-enabled device by 2020 according to Gartner’s Research, Sevenhugs aims at making home technology accessible to more people.
Moreover, the high-growth company is already on the hunt for talented people to help them move the needle and accelerate their international development. Check out the business developer and head of community open positions on their AngelList job page.
