This is it! The 2015 edition of BUSINESS FRANCE’s and Bpifrance’s 10-week acceleration program ubi i/o starts today. The adventure has already begun for our participants who now have landed in Silicon Valley. Since the official announcement, the 8 chosen companies have been hard at work tailoring their messaging and positioning with our marketing coach Page Alloo. The startups have also been working on their business development strategies alongside our Trade Advisors who have been setting up business meetings for them. Things will only get more intense throughout the upcoming weeks, thanks to the comprehensive program we’ve prepared for them.
Starting off with a casual business breakfast, our companies will have the opportunity to connect with French entrepreneurial trailblazers with a proven track record in the Valley. Daniel Amzallag, CEO @Ivalua, and Mathieu Lhoumeau, CEO @Contract Live, one or our ubi i/o 2014 alumni just to name a few.
The program also includes multiple lunch workshops where our startups will learn from experienced panelists on several essential topics on how to run a business in the U.S, including:
- How to Ace Your Business Meetings with Julien Boubel @LinkedIn and Kevin Fishner @HashiCorp
- Relationship with Corporate Accounts with Michael Amar @Ifeelgoods, Hugo Buret @Google and John McLane @Epicor Software Corp
- How to be Defensive of Your IP in Business Meetings with Francois Laugier and Lita Verrier @RMKB
Craming in U.S business development techniques throughout the day and pitching in front of investors at night, our entrepreneurs will be making the most of their precious time here in San Francisco. If you’d like to see the startups pitch, please feel free to join us and register for the PeopleConnect and PitchForce ubi i/o Startup Pitch Night.
Additionally, our participants will be personally advised by our mentors including Julien Barbier @Docker, Carlos Diaz @Kwarter, Marc Rougier @Scoop.it, Deap Ubhi @Amazon.com and Silicon Valley’s Tech giants such as – Samsung, Google, IBM, Salesforce… – partners of the program.
But before our entrepreneurs network with potential partners and undergo their first business meetings, they’ll have to go through rigorous individual and group pitching sessions with our coach to prepare for the road ahead.
What about Business France? No, we won’t be sitting on the sidelines. Alongside the workshops, B2B meetings, conferences and pitching events we’ve planned for them, the startups will get plenty of advices from their dedicated Trade Advisors. For the next 9 weeks, we will help them excel and fine-tune their business development strategies!
